7 Nov 2022 Endoscopy Day

The night before the endoscopy, I had to clear my bowels by drinking 2 litres of Fortrans in 2 hours. It was the most horrible drink. A bit like salt water. Nearly vomited after drinking it.

Then came the fasting etc. 

My appointment on 7 Nov 2022 was at 3.30pm. With the fasting and clearing of bowels,  it was a torture. 

Since it was a day surgery, I was discharged at about 7pm that evening. Amelia couldn't stay with me as she has to fetch Adriel from childcare. Amelia is my wife. Adriel is my 6 year old boy.

We managed to contact my Manulife manager Lionel to fetch me instead. Thanks Lionel!

This endoscopy was the beginning of things to come. I was informed when i woke up that there was a mass (lump) at the rectum area. The hospital would update me later. I had a bad feeling about it.
